Bootcamp workout ideas? I program a 3 day a week bootcamp. My ideas are not limitless. What are your resources?
Hi Lisa,
I would also refer you to the link that Nancy has provided. In my opinion there is a difference between group-x and bootcamp classes and I think fitness instructors today approach these classes more as a group-x rather than a bootcamp. So you’ll need to decide which option you want to go with. In both styles the choices are limitless. I hope this helps.
Best,
Harris
You say you have tons of equipment, right?
One of the workshops I took at IDEA’s PTI had a title like, “Mix, Remix.” It was about doing a strength or endurance exercise with one piece of equipment, going into the center of the room for HIIT, then going to another station and doing an exercise for the same muscle group but with a different piece of equipment.
For example:
Push-ups with feet on a resist-a-ball, then push-ups on the flat side of a BOSU.
Also, one more idea is to go here on IDEA under the Articles section and type in “sample classes”. You will get tons of ideas. As far as the focus that I mentioned in my last post, here is one sample class that played with interval times. I loved it used for my own HITT class.

Just another idea…
