Great question, although it’s tough to say if there’s truly a “best” answer. Other than the features you mentioned, it would be great to hear your thoughts on these next few questions to help guide my (and anyone else’s) answer a bit better:
-Have you set a budget for how much you’re willing to spend on the watch?
-Do you care how big or small the watch’s display screen and wrist strap are?
-How much data would you like present on the display screen at one time?
-Would you like it to double as a heart rate monitor or have GPS tracking enabled for yourself?
I currently own a Polar watch and have had a great experience with it so far. I like that it doubles as a heart rate monitor for when I want to track that for training. Also, clients can borrow it when we go on runs to help them understand what an appropriate pace should feel like if they don’t own one themselves. -As far as budget, definitely no more than $30…I am trying to keep my expenses down.
-No I do not care how big/small the screen/strap are…
-Not sure about data, other than I would like to know the intervals and maybe full length of training time (make sense?)
-No, I do not need it to double as a HR monitor or GPS…
I will check out Polar, just in case. I had someone say that they liked the Timex Ironman, too.
