Is this for over the summer? As you say ‘boy’, and ‘9:30 a.m.’ that is what I am assuming.
I think there are a number of factors that can make a difference. What age are you trying to reach? How many total people for the class do you want? Are you signing them up for a series of weeks, or doing drop in? It also helps to understand the habits of kids and parents in your particular area.
Where I am a lot of kids do week long summer programs. If kids are too young to be home alone and the parents work they tend to look for those sort of programs. Teens seem to work, or to do things like service camps, and week long away camps seem popular. There is the inbetween group who feel too old for camp, but can’t work yet, but of course you have to factor in the ability to get to the facility if they do not drive.
Consider also that a lot of teens and pre teens do not like to get out of bed so early. One of the facilities where I work has a ton of teens in the summer, but they seem to be there mostly later in the evening.
I think you may want to do a little outreach to see what times work for people who may be interested in the program. And also maybe reach out to your local schools to let them know what you are offering, and also not to overlap times with summer sports offerings from the schools.
Good luck
