Best mat , reformer and stability chair exercises for client with rotator cuff weakness?
Like you Phyllis, I hold credentials through Stott Pilates.
As such, I am sure you remember the emphasis Stott Pilates put on the five basic principles and how specific the warm up is.
As far as matwork is concerned, I believe you can utilize the scapula isolation and the arm circles in the warm up and progress it with the fitness circle, elastic bands and weighted balls.
On the reformer there are a host of exercises you can utilize, the whole back rowing series, the side arm series, the arms pulling straps series.
Never forget that Stott Pilates programming is contingent upon the postural assessment so it’s kind of tricky to say which one is best if one doesn’t know the results of the assessment.
Hope this is helpful.
