At home Pilates pricing
I live in Fairfield county. I’m a certified Pilates instructor and teach out of my home and also in a client’s home. I’m not sure what my pricing per session should be. At my home I use a reformer and also have a mat and all the props. When I travel, I bring a mat and props. My clients are all within a 15 min drive so I don’t have to travel far. Would be interested to hear what others in the same situation are charging. Thanks!
Good question!
I don’t teach pilates, but I do in-home personal training and in-home yoga (RYT-200) at clients’ homes. I think I’m a little bit low, but I charge between $60 and $75 per hour.
As a price reference, the gym where I work, people pay $75 an hour to come to me. I charge about that because although it’s more convenient for the client, I get paid 100% of what I make instead of the percentage that the gym makes. Some have told me I’m charging low, but there are other considerations that make it “worth it.” I train clients who live within 1-2 miles of my home, so the commute time is negligible. Also, I only offer openings that are within 1/2 hour of the ending of another class, so I’m not splitting up my day into un-usable chunks. If I were being asked to teach at times that were inconvenient for me, the price would go up exponentially!
