What are your favorite cardiovascular workouts for at home exercise? I won’t see my girlfriend for 1 1/2 months and she needs some workouts to maintain her progress. Indoor workouts are a must because she lives in Iowa and winter is here! She will also be doing some basic movement training with light loads once or twice a week(squat, lunge, push,pull,rotation, balance). She has been training for 6 weeks @ 2 sessions per week. I want something fun or simple that will get her heart rate up. Can you think of anything other than walking and dancing? Thank you for your thoughts.
I like circuits for indoor workouts with a rest between each circuit.
If she has stairs in her house and no knee problems, there are a few stair drills she can complete for an easy 20-30min workout.
There’s also plyometrics, jumping jacks, jump rope, running in place, boxing drills, etc.
And she can also download videos to her computer, iphone, ipad or even directly to her tv of all types.
It really depends on what her goals are, what her interests are and where she is training wise as to what she can do cardio wise from her home, but the options are endless!!!!
