Jeri I think you summed it up really well in your second post.
Some of us will never be 100% pain-free. But we can manage pain so as to not disrupt the activities of daily living. I ask my clients with either type of pain (acute or chronic) about their pain level on a 1-10 scale at each session and its effect since the last session on their activities.
