WHY IS THE SHOULDER TWIST MOVE CALLED AN ARNOLD PALMER? DID HE INVENT IT? IS IT GOOD FOR GOLFERS’ SWING?

Hi Rachel,

I think you may be referring to the Arnold Schwarzenegger move… That is a shoulder press that begins with palms to the shoulder, and then rotates to the front as the weights are pushed overhead.

It is primarily for building muscle in the shoulders.

Unless there is another move and I am incorrect! I’ve never heard of the Arnold Palmer golf move…. unless someone else has heard of it, the only one I know is the Arnold which the shoulder one mentioned above. 🙂

Not sure about any exercise that Arnold Palmer has his name on. I know that he has done a lot of exercise and flexibility type videos for golfers. I have seen a few, but not really sure how much science is behind these videos.
