Are weighted vests beneficial ?
Yes. weighted vests benefit a person. I didn’t find any harmful effect of it. But you have to know how to use it perfectly.
If you don’t know the workout rules with weighted vest then it can harm your body shape.
you may follow the post I found it very informative:

I like weighted vests for certain situations and for select people
For example, a client I have been working with has lost 22 pounds, so I will have her put on a 10 pound vest and carry 2 five pound weights and walk around her house so she can “remember” what she used to carry around all the time.
I also believe in the overload principle and will use weighted vests with my advanced clientele to increase intensity during an actual workout.
As with anything in this industry, it all depends on the circumstances!

I tell people that I’d rather have them use a weighted vest than ankle or hand weights when they go out walking.
