I was told that i needed this certification for core strength and fitness that i would like to teach in the water. Is this correct? If so when and where are the classes?

I would contact The Aquatic Exercise Association directly at www.aeawave.com or 1-888-232-9283. They list the requirements for the certifications directly on their website, and they should be able to answer your question about classes.
