approved exercises post hernia

This client is pain free but nervous about returning to exercise after sustaining a hernia injury 2 years ago....It seems that isometrics such as planks, bird dogs, ect. would be suitable and obviously no sit ups over the stability ball, but what else is deemed safe?

You need to check with md first. Some say no squats, leg press or heavy weights, as well as no type of curl or crunch.
