Anyone know of any studies that show if you expand or renovate your fitness center, there will be an increase in utilization?
The corporation I work for is looking to renovate/expand our current onsite fitness center and I’m building a case for this to present to the executive team. I’m wondering if there are any studies or other companies that have made significant changes to their gyms and saw an increase in utilization and membership?
Hello Nick,
Regardless if the business is a fitness club or another type of service business, one must also look at many factors like: managenment, location, competition, pricing structure, clent base, cleanliness, hours of operation and reputation just to name a few.
If you ‘build it” they might not always come.
Renovate/Expand…face lift/more square feet?
New Equipment/Services?
Why does your employer feel the need to renovate/expand?
Return on Investment?
Did they show a Business Plan?
Wishing You Great Success!
