Hi Robin. I’ve been using Training Peaks (www.trainingpeaks.com) for many years to create extended training plans for my endurance sport athletes. The great thing about training peaks is that you can create your own library, share libraries with other coaches or download libraries of your choice. Another plus is that it acts as an interactive workout log between coach and client. It’s a comprehensive service that I’ve found invaluable to my coaching services. Here are some of the other features:
– Log workouts and nutrition
– Search and map routes for running and cycling
– Upload heartrate, GPS and power data
– Analyze workout data
– Monitor fitness trends
– Brand to match your business
I am not 100 % sure what you mean by online PT software. We have purchased a number of years ago the BodyMap from NASM which is an assessment tool.
Personally, I do not use the automated version even though I use the grid and follow the assessment recommendations. My reason is because I simply do not like the “if this, then that” mandate that it generates. While the printouts are very nice and professional, I prefer to do it my own way. However, you can check it out and see an example following this link which you may have to copy and paste because it does not want to come up properly.
