Any Mobile Trainers out there with a successful bootcamp business?
I am a personal trainer primarily working with individuals in their homes. Anyone out there start a successful bootcamp business without a permanent gym space? I have no space to call my own, but could rent space as needed. Would like to chat with others to discuss marketing ideas and strategies. Thanks so much.
Hi Tamara
We have dozens of clubs who run these types of businesses. I’d be happy to discuss different options that you may find helpful: [email protected]

I have a friend who runs an outdoor bootcamp at the downtown waterfront during lunch hour, rain or shine (there is some covered space). Her initial business started with a couple of clients and friends. Once people see exercise in a public place, at a good time, it can grow on its own.
There’s an IDEA video in the library about getting the right permits to use outdoor spaces like parks and playgrounds. I think the title is “Permit Pro” or something close to that. It was a session at IDEA one of the years that I attended and I bought the related DVD.
I have two outdoor bootcamps along with an in home personal training business
I have 28 people in one and 15 in the other on a regular basis.
I built them by word of mouth, google search (website) and Facebook.
The key is to figure out your target market and offer the bootcamp at “perfect” times.
I am in my fifth year of having these programs and they run very smoothly.
