BOD 365 is a start up company to provide an online service for it’s members. Live streaming classes will be the main service but a library of workout videos will also be provided to my members. I would like to create a large database of videos with a broad array of workouts, so I am looking for instructors studying in many different classes to reply. I will pay from $10-15 per video depending on time length and send a free t-shirt or bumper sticker. Videos need to be saved in Adobe Flash Player. Anyone interested please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you!
I am not speaking for everyone, but I believe that quality content is worth more than $10-15. This is especially true if you would have exclusive rights to the video. Most people would rather publish the video on their own website and make more than $10-15 in advertisements, or potential leads.
You might have more interest, especially from experienced instructors, if you would be promoting their business through your website. Is this the case?
Thank you for your responses. Price wise I guess I was thinking more of people who aren’t certified and who would like more experience, some money and free stuff.
I should have rephrased my question in the beginning to clearly define different levels of qualifications and pricing.
Steve, what examples of pricing would you think sufficient in this case, and you are correct I would want exclusive rights to the video?
Also I am always interested in cross advertising on different sites for instructors and equipment that I use. This would be something to discuss in more detail because it would not benefit me to advertise someone with the same service my business provides. But many ideas to consider.
I appreciate the information.
As far as pricing, it would probably depend on what you want. What duration would the exercise video be? How long would it take the trainer to produce the video? What quality are you expecting?
If you figure that the average trainer is probably charging $50-60/hr and taking home maybe $25-40/hr of that, I would think that most would expect the same, or better compensation for producing quality content. You also have to think about whether you want a lot of videos that might not be the best quality, versus a few high quality videos. I cannot comment too much further because I really don’t know the vision of your site. You might have the most success contacting personal trainers that are close to you and offering to promote their training business on your site.
Those are just my thoughts based on what I know of your potential website.
All the best,
