Ankle weights and yoga were popular in the 70’s (I believe).
Yoga = good idea: helps improve flexibility
Ankle weights during cardio=bad idea; the weight distal to the hips which can cause pain.
Hand weights during cardio=weights here are distal to the arm which can throw your balance off and cause upper body pain.
If you MUST use weights during cardio try a weighted vest (the weight is closer to the body).
