Will you please send me a full description of Aerobic & Step Master Instructor< or just a general description of a Master Instructor at something,this is to clarify that some individuals call themselves titles such as' Master Instructors " that they don't actually own. Some companies are assuming that they can create a job title such as ' Master Instructor "so they end up giving titles and names to simple instructors who haven't even passed through a course such as : Step Master or Aerobic Master etc;
Natalie is correct about the definition. As it applies to the fitness industry, anyone can call him or herself a “master” instructor. I do use that terminology, as some years ago IDEA had a formal program to define different levels of personal trainers. The highest level was master. The criteria for a “Master Personal Trainer” included years of experience, education, community service, recommendations by clients and industry members. I take pride that I was able to meet all the criteria, so I still use the title, even though I believe they no longer offer the program.
