Hello. I have 10 years experience aerobic instructor in Korea.
But I don’t have any certification in USA.
Im going to get Zumba basic1 cetification in Jun, But I heard that I should get some cetification for Aerobic Instruction,Health education Instruction or Group fitness instructor for the resume.
What is best certification for My resume(I want be Zumba instructor) and what is best place to get the certification?
Thanks verymuch read my question.
To add to what Joanne said, you don’t have to have a certification to become a Zumba instructor, but it does look better on your résumé if you get your certification as a fitness instructor through accredited programs such as AFFA or ACE. If you get one of those first, then when you get your license to teach Zumba, you can earn credits for it. If you are only wanting to teach Zumba and nothing else, then I wouldn’t pay the extra cost to become a certified fitness instructor. It really just depends on what your career goals are.
The standards to teach group fitness in Korea are different so I don’t know whether you need a certificate a degree or anything for that matter to teach fitness in Korea.
What I can tell you about Zumba B1 is that you don’t need any credential in order to take the course. It is simply a workshop where you will received instruction on Zumba format, learn some of the basic dances used in Zumba choreography. Once you complete your Zumba course/training, you will receive your license (it is not a certification). It is simply a document saying you have taken the course and are licensed to used the Zumba name and logo.
I hope this is of help to you.
All the best.
