AED law for in-home personal training
To my best understanding their is not a law saying a personal trainer needs one. If there was im sure you would have needed proof when you got your business licence. If you are having clients come to you home you will need fire extinguisher and parking spaces. You home will need to be safe and hazard free, with no open outlest or dangers.
I do recommend you getting an AED if you are working with an older population or individuals with heart disease, this is advice from an EMT. I have had so many times where a patron has gone down at a facillity and I was able to respond because they had all the equipment. The fire department will get there quickly but its always those critical first moments that can save a life.
You can even list it in your credentials, I know some old folks who would feel safer if they knew their trainer was ready for anything. They arn’t cheep, maybe you can find a secondhand one from the fire department, hospital, or local ambulance company.
Good luck!
