ACSM Cancer Exercise Trainer
Hi all, I am about done with the ACSM CET textbook and cannot find much info online about it besides the percentage breakdown of each section. There does not seem to be a solid exercise prescription for cancer survivors besides what they can tolerate and as close to ACSM guidelines. Any help or insight into the exam would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I reviewed the materials for several “Cancer” Exercise Instructor courses several years ago. The common concepts were physician clearance and lower/slower starting levels and progressions. Other than that everything was identical to the current ACSM guidelines for general populations. As to taking the test, if you feel you understood the material you studied, it should be no problem to pass. If you aren’t good at test taking, I suggest you go over the material again and highlight all the things that are direct statements to the topic. Reread those again and take the test.
