Yoga Worth the Drive!
Karla's Success Story
I’ve been attending Ann’s Healing Yoga classes for a few years now at the Community Center. When I started with her, I lived close by, but then moved to another city near by to be closer to my work. Once settled in, I tried a yoga studio in my new town, but that’s when I found that all yoga teachers and studios are not the same. Although I’m sure they were very good in their style, they weren’t the right fit for me. I was sore after the first night, and found the same experience the second time -- this is after doing yoga for over 1 year. So I decided that I would commute back to the Community Center on Monday nights for my yoga and therapy sessions with Ann! I’m so happy that I returned. With Ann, I get excellent yoga instruction and beyond. She always provides multiple levels that we can try for each position, to meet our bodies where we are that evening. I love the positive reinforcement, and have a feeling of well being when I leave there.
Healing Yoga combined with my running (I did my 2nd ½ marathon last month) let’s me be physically fit enough to do the things I want to do at 50+. Ann’s yoga classes have helped me relieve soreness after a 10-12 mile run/walk on the weekends, so that I can get back into a running group on Tuesday night. I have a positive attitude and look forward to what tomorrow will bring.
