Wendy Jones's Success Story
Wendy’s story is an amazing testimony to perseverance and discipline. In Wendy’s own words:
“I have been fat all my life. I was fifty when I finally got serious about losing weight. I had many health issues and frankly I was tired of being fat. I finally had the mindset to do something about it. I decided to cut down on my food intake. I eat the same food but less of it. I started slowly losing weight. Then I decided I needed to exercise to get in shape but I hated exercising. So, I decided to take a Zumba and Body Conditioning class with Teresa at HCPR South Strand location. I love it! This was not exercise to me—it was fun! The pounds started coming off faster and I made sure I did not miss a Zumba class. I have a few pounds left to lose to reach my weight loss goal. I can honestly say that my life has changed for the better. Now over a hundred pounds lighter, I feel healthier than I ever have. I have more stamina and for the first time in my life I do not have to buy my clothes in the plus-size department. Many people ask me how I lost the weight. I tell them I simply eat less and exercise more!”
