This past February, I decided it was time to do something for myself. I hadn't worked out in the past few months and didn't have the oomph to start, at least not by myself. I have an elliptical which I had used on and off over the past few months, then got bored and didn't do it anymore. I was unhappy with the way I looked and felt...tired, lethargic and needed to lose a few pounds. I'm 58 years old and there are so many this I still want to do and I want to be in shape to do them! I looked online and found a website named Elite Warrior Fitness. I had no idea what to expect. I saw that Mike is a personal trainer and nutritionist, so I called to find out more information. The group was meeting the following day so I said I would be there and check it out. Wow, was I surprised! In just half an hour, we worked every muscle group in the body. I was so sore the next day but it was a good sore, a sore that told me I DID something! I continued to go back and was hooked. It is very, very hard work, probably one of the hardest workouts I have ever done, but over the next few weeks I became stronger, and new definition in my thighs, arms, and abs, and at the end of March, just six weeks in, has lost 2-1/2 inches from my waist and 1-1/2 inches from my hips. I look forward to going those three days each week( wish it was more ). We are all in it together, and we groan and moan together, and have a lot of laughs together. We also cheer each other on and support each other. Mike watches carefully to make sure everyone is doing the training correctly to make sure there are no injuries and that we will acquire the best results. So, to sum it up, I have made new friends, have a great support group, am getting stronger all the time, losing inches and weight, and having fun and actually looking forward to going to each class!! This is one of the best decisions I have made for myself. Thank you, Mike, for proving to me that you are never too old to start something new. And one of the best parts....it only take 1/2 hr of my time three days a week. I am now one of the "Lady Warriors" and it feels so good to be part of this group. Crankin' it.......
