"My experience training with Brandon has gained me the ability to jog. That may sound ridiculous to some but it wasn't something that I have always been able to do. I've always struggled with aerobic-style exercise and, as I've gotten older, I've developed allergies and asthma. Shortly after Brandon started working with me, at a very gentle pace, he took me up to 3 miles without stopping once. Now, 2 years later, I jog at least twice a week.
I've also learned a lot about diet and how it contributes to the effectiveness or failure of your fitness program. Previous to his instruction, I had been avoiding certain foods, namely carbs, under the misconception that they were fattening. I was also over-loading on protein. He set me up with a diet based on my fitness goals and activity level.
Besides fitness, his guidance has helped me in other areas of my life as well. Beginning last year, he introduced me to meditation. Previous to that, I had been medicated (since 1988) for anxiety and depression. At times, I wasn't even able to leave my home without an emotional meltdown. Since I first started meditating, at Brandon's recommendation, I have progressed from academic probation to a "B" gradepoint average even though specialists told me that part of my brain was underdeveloped.
Even though Brandon trained me 2 years ago, he still continues to be a source of encouragement and instruction at no profit to himself because he is committed to the positive welfare of others.
I haven't been on prescription antidepressants in two years and I get out of the house every day now with no symptoms of anxiety. I'm beyond grateful for Brandon's encouragement and guidance in helping me develop into a healthier individual, mentally and physically."
