Chris's Success Story
I should start by saying I have been in shape most of my life.
From the time I was 8 years old until I was 18, I was a competitive swimmer. When I was in middle school I ran cross-country. Basically, I was always involved in sports. In my years of swimming I competed in many South Jersey Invitational Swim Meets and Junior Olympics. When I stopped swimming I kept eating as if I were still swimming. When I stopped swimming I weighed 165 and at my heaviest I weighted 220.
I joined Snap Fitness of Medford and tried to lose the weight on my own and it wasn’t working. I got down to 196 but couldn’t keep the weight off. I contacted Sue about prices for personal training and mentioned that I only used one of my free sessions out of the two you get for joining the gym. She said let’s meet up and I will give you a free session.
That workout was the hardest workout I have ever done in my life. I knew at that time I wanted more sessions with Sue. Two days later I contacted Sue and told her I will be getting a personal trainer and asked her to let me know what days would be good for her. I then signed up for 30 sessions.
Sue mentioned the 12 Week Biggest Winner Contest to me and I signed up. These 12 weeks have been the hardest, but most rewarding time. I think that without Sue, I would not have been able to lose the weight. At this time I now weigh 173.
I have to say I am really glad I found Snap Fitness, and I looking forward to continuing my journey of weight loss. One of my goals is to complete a sprint triathlon and I am well on the way to complete that.
In January of this year I could barely run a mile; on April 6, 2013 I completed the Atlantic City 11k race and plan on signing up for a triathlon this summer. If it wasn’t for Sue I don’t think any of this would have been possible.
