Sara's Success Story

I am writing on behalf of Rebecca Black, a friend and previous colleague of mine, who has been an inspiration to me in both my personal and fitness endeavors. Rebecca and I began working out seriously together around the same time, a little over a year ago, and I am continuously amazed at the changes she has made in her life to better herself and lead a healthy and fit lifestyle. Not only that, Rebecca takes what she has done to improve her own life, and passes it on to her friends, family, and colleagues. She is one of the most genuine people I know and truly wishes to use her fitness and nutrition education to help others get to where she is now. Rebecca is constantly looking for ways to improve herself and increase her fitness knowledge, and she does not hesitate to share what she learns with others.

The thing that inspires me most about Rebecca is that she is an honest person who understands that we are all human beings and while we make positive changes to better our lives, we are still going to have hard days and we are still going to get off track from time to time. When this happens to me and I skip a workout or don’t eat very healthy for a day (or two!), Rebecca reminds me that it is never too late to start making good choices again! Instead of feeling bad about not eating enough vegetables or cutting my run short for the today, Rebecca inspires me to get back out there tomorrow and keep working hard to reach my goals. Most of all, she has taught me that I am not a failure for making mistakes, I am a failure only if I don’t realize them and try to do better the next time. It’s okay to take a break once in awhile – we all need it – and the important thing is Rebecca has taught me that it is how I handle getting back on track, rather than dwelling on the fact that I got off track in the first place.

Rebecca is a superior example of how a person, even a seemingly healthy and fit person, can, in a short amount of time, completely alter her body and her attitude of mind. With drive and dedication, Rebecca has taught me that I can in fact do anything I set my mind too. She is readily available for support, advice, and instruction, but in the end, Rebecca always reminds me that I am the one who accomplished my goal.
