I have always been overweight, but in March 2010 I knew I was ready to do something about it. I started working on at home using the treadmill and the Wii and focused on eating healthier, smaller portions throughout the day. I exercised every single day and I started to see small results from my efforts“By June I was down 2 sizes and 20 pounds!!!
I continued doing the same thing expecting the same results but I plateaued.
Bring in Matt Scott, personal trainer with 24 hour Fitness. I spoke to Matt about my weight problems and he advised me he could help me get over this plateau and back on the weight loss track. They were offering the initial 3 training sessions so I signed up with Matt to see what type of benefit working with a personal trainer would have. I love the work outs with Matt, they are tailored to my needs and he knows when to push me harder and when to ease off. Matt believes in working multiple muscle groups at once so we do cross-training workouts while minimizing downtime so that I am constantly burning calories and strengthening several muscles at once. The benefit is the calories continue to burn off long after the workout is done.
Working with Matt I have continued to drop weight and I am now done another two sizes. I am not at my goal weight yet, but I know that continuing my personal training sessions with Matt and I will get to where I want to be.
