April's Success Story

2004 began my process.... Running and lifting weights was what I started out doing to lose weight – it was hard for me“. I enjoyed running just because I was slow enough I could chat with whomever I could keep up with!! Lifting weights in the gym was fun because I could chat with people between sets.

Now SALSA dancing – THAT was PURE JOY! When I first started out, I was dancing at least twice a week up to five times a week. The time just flies by!! That first winter I lost 4 pant sizes just by dancing and watching what I ate!!! I couldn't believe it!! It's been something that I've kept very close to me and it's where I can just "let my hair down" and shine.

The past year salsa dancing has been tempered by my growing business and the need to be on my toes all day long. It has been replaced by trail running and plyometric exercises including the program Insanity. I LOVE trail running. Climbing rocks & jumping over fallen trees & rocks keeps my mind alert and feet quick! The eyes are constantly on the lookout for the wonderful scenes like above.

2011 was my year of doing the programs Insanity and P90X/Insanity Hybrid. I poo-poo'd the idea that a DVD program could get results - I WAS WRONG!! WOWWWW!! FANTASTIC programs! Today, I am doing P90X2 - super challenging! - and trail running.

I'm at least 30 pounds lighter, with more energy than most can handle & LOVING LIFE!!
