Nickey Mott's Success Story
For years I would join health clubs, try to exercise and even purchase exercise equipment knowing that I would only stick to it for about a month and a half. I went in this circle for at least eight years, wondering why I was putting on so much weight. My husband told me one day that I was rather inconsistent. Those words hurt, even though I knew it was the truth. So I decided that 2010 would be my year. I began in January by obtaining a personal trainer at the YMCA. I would go to the gym Monday through Friday and joined sparkpeople.com in order to get myself going in the right direction. After three months I had lost 15 pounds and decided to try Zumba. I loved it so much that I decided to get certified. After certification I lost another 6 pounds, and I'm gradually still losing weight. This year I decided that I wouldn't be inconsistent anymore but that I would accomplish whatever I set out to accomplish! Now I'm teaching at two YMCA locations. I'm so excited about how much I've been able to accomplish with two words...consistency and persistence!
