Karen's Success Story
A picture paints a thousand words, but the one I saw of my backside at the beach only screamed six“”It is time to lose weight!” I knew I had gained about twenty pounds over the last five years, yet could not seem to lose more than 5. I figured the weight just came with age. The picture I saw on August 5th pushed me out of denial. I became determined to lose weight and get fit.
I joined 24 Hour Fitness that week. But, eating healthy and working out was still not giving me the results I wanted. In September, I began working with Donna. My main goal was to lose weight, but I also wanted to get lean and toned. Donna encouraged me to purchase a Body Bugg, which helped me balance what I was eating with what I was burning. She checked my food logs every session, and taught me how to make better food choices. I learned how to create a healthy diet and how to get the most out of my cardio work-outs.
My goals became Donna’s goals. She listened to my needs and designed a workout to meet them. She was very patient with me, often re-explaining information. Donna’s workouts strengthened my core and lowered my body fat 10%. I met my weight loss goal in December, two weeks ahead of schedule! I continued to work with Donna, learning how to maintain my new weight as well as having her help train me to run a half marathon.
Thanks to Donna, I am stronger, leaner, healthier, and twenty pounds lighter!! (not to mention I finished the Dallas Rock N’ Roll Half Marathon in 2 hours 38 minutes!!)
