Her Family told her..."Get Fit or Get Fit for A Coffin"
Ella's Success Story
This is one of my current clients, Ella VanHuss. The "before" pictures from December, 2010, show her wonderful progress. I starter working with Ella in February 2010 ( the "before" pictures). The "before" pictures are 8 months after her surgery. She was still overweight, and bloated due to medications. Now, February, 2011, she's still off almost all mediations, and is still exercising! She is still loosing weight, and looks and feels amazing! She shared her inspiring story below.
"A little over 18 months ago, my family had decided I was going to die. I was so much a couch potato that I could not get around without a walker, and generally I had to use a wheel chair. My breathing was labored, my diabetes was out of control and I was a mess! My family was so sure I was going to die they sent for my oldest daughter to come to Tn. from Tx. to take care of me. My husband of over 50 years and my 3 daughters told me I either had to get fit or get fitted for a coffin. I was mad, hurt, depressed and generally devistated.
After sulking , pouting, crying and all the rest I got angry enough to fight back. My youngest daughter contacted Loral to see if there was anything to be done for me. The first time I went to her I had to stop every 2 or 3 steps along the wall to catch my breath. My daughter bugged me into just giving it a try. I was ready to give up after meeting Loral because I just didn't see what good she could do for me. I was old. out of shape and feeling useless. I told my daughter it was a waste of time. She then told me she had already paid for it the money was not refundable and expensive. I'm a tightwad so I decided I had to get my monies worth but then I would quit. Thank God for the care determination and encouragement I received. My doc. encouraged me to get a bypass since I was so big. about 18 months ago I did so. Since then I have exercised both in the pool and with silver sneakers and also with my trainer, Loral, 3 days a week plus at home on my big ball and my treadmill. That's at least 6 hours a week of priority time for my health. I have lost 150 lbs. so far and can do almost anything I want to. I look and feel like a kid of 50 and intend to live to 100, healthy and active. I cannot stress too strongly the value of regular exercise. It is what has made me what I have become. A healthy, active 73 year old woman! You are NEVER too old to get healthier, just look at me!!" Ella
