I have been participating in the Functional Aging Class at Bodymechanics Integrated Health Clinic, every Thursday, for about 4 weeks. I am happy to say that I have noticed daily activities becoming easier to do.
Things like sitting down and standing back up take less effort than they have in many years.
I enjoy kayaking. But, until recently, it was becoming difficult for me to get out of my kayak at the end of my paddle. This week, it was much easier than it has been in a long time.
I have also been doing yoga twice a week for several years now. I have to modify most of the yoga poses in order to do them, and many are still difficult to do and especially to hold. Since starting the Functional Aging Class, I have noticed the poses becoming easier to do, and I have been able to hold them longer and feel stable while doing them.
I find it very convenient to schedule a massage right after my workouts. I look forward to continuing this class at Bodymechanics, and I recommend it for all seniors.
