I became a client of Debbie’s in October 2012. She immediately knew by asking me just a few questions that it wasn’t JUST about getting back into shape but we also discussed food issues that I had. At most sessions she would give a relevant article on what we had talked about at the session before. i.e. healthy snacks, how to stay on track during the holidays and other concerns I had that I talked to her about. She is also extremely knowledgeable on many health related subjects and I was constantly asking questions!
We discussed not only my weight loss goals but also my lifestyle, eating habits and fitness goals...which Debbie dealt with the VERY first meeting by encouraging me to sign up for a 5k run after 3 months of training..
Debbie set up a training plan for me that included running, and working with an exercise ball, some small hand weights and other exercises. The best part for me was that she changed it up every 3 to 4 weeks so I never got bored and the results have been amazing. So far I’ve lost 14 lbs, as well as 4.5 inches off my waist and 3 inches off my hips and lost everywhere else as well. Also, before beginning to train I had suffered with lower back pain for years. Debbie gave me a few simple exercises that she had me do daily and I no longer have ANY back pain.
Debbie is extremely encouraging and professional and from the start asked me what I liked to do and what I didn’t like to do so that my training plan is not something I don’t enjoy. For example I don’t like big weights so there are none! What I am also excited about is that I have learned a lot of great exercises that I can do without leaving the house.
I honestly cannot thank Debbie enough for all she has done for me. I was truly stuck in a rut and she has helped me get out of what was “weighing” me down.....
