21 Pounds/4% Body Fat/21.66 Inches (with a broken foot)

Today was my very first 30 day assessment. I am in complete shock as I lost 20 pounds, 4% bodyfat, 3.3 points on the BMI scale, and 21.66 inches from my body. I had struggled for 5 months desperately trying to lose weight before hiring Susan Slavinski as my trainer. My attempt on my own only resulted in an 8.5 pound loss over 5 long months. I hire Susan just ONE month ago and BOOM!...20 pounds lost. Did I mention that was in ONE month? WHOOOOAAAAHHHHHHHH! From Day 1 I stuck to a clean eating meal plan that consisted of 6 meals per day. I would do my grocery shopping on Sunday followed by meal prep on Sunday afternoon and Wednesday night. I would prepare my meals days in advance and put them in individual tupperware containers so I had NO excuse to stray from the meal plan. So over the last month I had 180 meals (I was NEVER hungry) and I only had 2 cheat meals! So I "ate clean" 98.8% of the time. I drank a gallon of water per day. I remember seeing Burton Hughes with his gallon jug of water the third day I trained (I walked in with a Starbucks Skinny Vanilla Latte in my hand). We had a discussion about water versus things like Lattes with their high sugar content, so from that moment on NO more Lattes, ONLY water...and LOTS of it. I scheduled 5 sessions per week with Susan from Day 1. I knew I had LOTS of work to do and I knew that 5 sessions per week was exactly what I needed to stay accountable. After our weight training sessions I would get in 30 to 60 minutes of cardio. I have had at least 10 trainers over the last 14 years and I have NEVER kept all of my appointments. I would ALWAYS make excuses and find reasons to cancel. But not with Susan. She made me believe in myself and gave me the desire to get to the gym & JUST DO IT!
