Hi guys, are you finding that more and more people are reluctant to sign contracts for training?

My advice is to offer a 1 month agreement, show them how awesome you are and provide so much value that they will sign up for the 3, 6, or 12 month package. Put yourself in their shoes, would you want to sign up for a 12 month package right off the bat without knowing the value? They have to go for ...

Elliptical trainer and tight hip flexors

4 Answers | Asked by Fran Johnson on Mar 12, 2017

Answered by Tyler Freitag on Mar 13, 2017

I don't see anything wrong with that, it's better than something like a recumbent bike or rowing machine (because of the standing upright position on an elliptical). Teach the client about movements like posterior and anterior pelvic tilting. What I like to do as a dynamic stretch for my hip flexors...

Loose Skin?

5 Answers | Asked by Anastasia Juliette on Mar 06, 2017

Answered by Tyler Freitag on Mar 06, 2017

You have to define what 'toning' workout you plan to do. Also, everyone's skin elasticity is different. I HIGHLY recommend strength training as part of your routine. Strength training will give you muscles, the more mass that fills up the skin the less 'loose' it will appear. But remember, you'll st...

Does anyone think there is any benefit to climbing a stepper machine backwards?

5 Answers | Asked by Tracie Renschen on Feb 08, 2017

Answered by Tyler Freitag on Feb 20, 2017

The quadriceps will do a bit more of the work than if it were to be facing the normal direction, but in all honesty, it's not worth it. You'll be hitting the back of your ankles on the steps and might trip and fall. Try it on an inclined treadmill instead!

I think the BOSU will be your best friend in this, as balance is very important in that whole process. I've also used a smith machine bar to work with modified pushups and pullups, as many seniors don't have the strength to do them with just their bodyweight; seniors need the strength to push from t...
