I have been working out at Mitchell Fitness Systems for several years.

Trent and Vicki have built a great facility. They, and their trainers, are serious about fitness but combine it with a fun approach to make sure you have great workouts and enjoy being there.

Trent, my trainer, has designed a great program that is perfect for me as he has for many others. He developed a challenging workout plan to meet my schedule and fitness level. In addition, he is helping me strive toward making healthier food choices and to understand how that affects my overall health.

Also, Trent is committed to constantly learning about fitness and nutrition. He is passionate about learning and he wants to make sure he is sharing the best and most current information with his customers.

If you are interested a healthy approach toward your long term fitness goals, contact Mitchell Fitness Systems.

I've been working out with Trent for almost four years now. He really pays attention to your condition, both physically and mentally. Sometimes you're just not up to a hard workout other times you are and he picks up on that. He's more than a trainer, he's also a life coach, enouraging you to do your best and not let the things that you can't control take over your life. I really like going to his gym and have made some good friends with whom I enjoy working out.

Trent is simply an awesome personal trainer. He will work with you, whatever your needs may be, and tailor a program specifically suited to your individual needs. If you are in the right frame of mind, that is, you have the desire to push yourself, he will help you become a better you. Through workouts and diet/nutrition advice, Trent can help you get to where you want to go.

Trent is one of those trainers you only find once in a lifetime. He personalizes every client's training to match exactly what they need. The man is a master at training and treats you with care if you are injured. I am 71 and have more aches and pains than I care to admit. I have had back, arm and shoulder surgery and am about ready to have my knee operated on. If it hadn't been for Trent working with me over the past several years I would probably be in a wheel chair. Every injury I incur Trent works with to make sure my body supports that injury. Whether you want to get in shape, sculpture your body or just live longer Trent is your won't be disappointed. I have been a client of Trent's for about a month now. My history: I had worked out with weights on my own for about 10 years before totally letting myself go, then getting into running and losing a ton of weight (40lbs). My goal was very specific: to learn the olympic and power lifts with perfect form. These lifts require a lot of skill and technique, and anything less than perfect form is just asking for injury. Now I've tried personal trainers at the major gym chains, and let me tell you: there is just no comparison. How so, you ask?

First of all, you are not likely to find a personal trainer with the knowledge and skill required to teach proper form on olympic and power lifts. This is not "help me lose my love handles" personal training. This is an area where serious skill is required, and Trent has it in spades; this is evident in every form instruction he gives me regarding each lift and every correction he makes to my form.

Secondly, knowledge means nothing in a personal trainer if he/she can't teach, and Trent is a great teacher. His experience in the fitness area is vast, and this experience shows in even the smallest suggestion or tip he makes while instructing me and watching me perform exercises. One quick example: standing bicep curls. After working out with weights for 10 years myself, I was pretty sure I had this one down. Trent saw me performing this movement, and politely suggested that I try shifting my elbows forward to better work the biceps instead of the deltoids. WOW did this ever make a difference! I had no idea I'd been doing them sub-optimally all these years, and I'm pretty sure over half the guys I've seen in the gym do the same as I did. His knowledge of human musculature, anatomy, and common injuries and recovery is exemplary, as evidenced by the books in his bookshelf.

Third, as imposing a figure as he is (6'2" 230+lbs SOLID would be my guess), Trent is extremely friendly, approachable, and just ready to help and impart knowledge. He has no ego about his training methods- if he can point you to what he believes to be a more knowledgable resource in a particular area of training, he will not hesitate to do so. Rarely do you meet a man of this size and experience without the accompanying attitude, but Trent will do everything possible to make you feel at home, along with his wife Vicki and son Thomas, both of whom are also excellent trainers, as well. Thomas trained me once and gave me an amazing workout; coming from a slacklining/gymnast angle, he has a very interesting approach to fitness, and is wise beyond his years regarding training.

Fourth, from what I've seen, Trent tailors training on a very individual basis. Olympic and power lifts for me, but I was surprised to hear he also teaches a yoga class, and everything in between; he's training for a marathon right now, for example- something you'd never guess of a man with a bodybuilder's physique. I also see this individual attention when he challenges me in workouts- after observing me train for some time, he'll push me when he knows I can do something, even when I don't think I can- and I'm no stranger to training.

Fifth, the Mitchell Fitness facility is no-nonsense and well stocked. You'll find everything from serious free weights to machines to cardio equipment to bands, mats, stability balls, balance boards, and more. You will not be needing for any equipment.

Finally, while I came here for very specialized training, from what I've seen Trent and his family have you covered from all angles no matter what you might need fitness-wise: weight loss, muscle gain, yoga, flexibility, general fitness, diet/nutrition. The couple bucks more you'll spend vs. a fitness-club membership is worth it many times over because of the vast knowledge you'll gain and have life-long. As someone who worked out regularly at LA Fitness, Ballys, and 24 Hour Fitness, and having tried personal trainers at each one- I can only say that training with Trent is the first time I've felt like I was training with the REAL DEAL.

I cannot recommend Mitchell Fitness Systems more highly. Truly a class act.
