Today marks a year since I meant the person that would change my life. I remember meeting Sue the first time at her office. I was scared to death, had no idea what to expect or what she would tell me. As much as I wanted to lose about 10 - 15 pounds I wasn't sure I could stick to a "diet". Instead what I was given was a set of tools and how to use those tools. I thought I ate pretty good before meeting Sue, but I was way off. I started tracking everything I ate on my fitness pal, seeing the true amount of calories I was eating was an eye opening experience. Getting the diet cleaned up was part of the equation, the other was the workouts. My stomach was in such knots over the thought of going to the gym. But I found a way to make it work. The more muscle I started seeing, the more hooked on it I became, loved seeing the changes in my body. In order to be successful you have to be consistent, plan ahead, when tracking calories be honest with yourself. If you eat candy, chocolate, account for it. If I know where we are going to dinner or lunch I look at the menu ahead of time to make the best possible choices. I also found you can eat a piece of cake or cupcake once in a while, it won't blow your new habits. You can enjoy dinner with friends and family, as you eat for a week not a day. Following Sue's advise and training program, I lost not the 10 - 15 I wanted to lose, but 25 pounds. I will never be able to say thank you enough to the one person that truly changed my life.

Sue is an "Exceptional Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach". I completed a Personal Training Class in May of 2015. I needed to complete my internship for certification, and Sue accepted me without hesitation. Sue is very thorough in her training , she makes sure her clients stay motivated and focused on the proper movements, and the reason for doing each routine. She communicates well with her clients, adding a personal touch to make it "fun", yet still challenging while getting into shape. She has showed me how to observe the clients for the right posture, stance, and form. I find myself observing (without thinking about it), the motions of the body, and looking for the proper muscle movement during each routine. This is a result of what Sue has taught me. I continue to go to the gym and learn from Sue whenever I can.
My internship with Sue has has a profound impact on my life, so much....that she is now my trainer/fitness coach as well.
Sue is "Awesome!" at what she does, and I would recommend her to anyone seeking a "True" Personal Trainer.

    Hi Susan,
I would like to start out by saying how grateful I am for taking me on as an intern. I have learned many different things about training clients from my time spent with you.
First of all I can see the dedication you have to your field and your clients by your personality and the way you go about your sessions. I see that your clients look up to
you and look to you for their personal fitness needs. You are very dedicated to them and obviously they to you. I know that many of them have been coming to you for a
    very long time.

Some of the things that I have learned from you are the fact that strength training is very important. Having the correct form is very important and tailoring the workout to
the clients needs. I see that your clients are never bored and you always have ways of challenging them. I believe that is why so many have stayed with you for many years.
I like the way that you think out side of the box and don't let anything stand in your way. If there is someone on a piece of equipment that you need to use you quickly go to
some thing else without the client even knowing that you changed something. You are always on time and you don't waste any of the clients time, you make sure that
they get their workout in even if they try to talk too much, you quickly and efficiently get them right back on track.

I realize the times that I spent with you, you were training paid clients so we didn't really have many opportunities for me to take over. I am too new to take over on your clients,
but I still really learned very much. I have been practicing on myself and I believe that I have improved much. So far on the challenge I have lost 2.5 lbs and I can tell that I
am becoming much stronger and I can see the muscle definition happening. When I reach my goal of losing all the fat around my middle I will come and see you and Bob so
you can see my progression. I am really working hard on the diet part, I think I am getting it down. I learned a lot from the book that I got by Nick, it is very good and I can
see what all the different exercises are. I bring it to the gym with me and try them out.

I think that you are amazing and I love what you have done for me. I will stay with you on your support group and keep you posted.

I did my first day at Medford Leas on Tuesday, I was pleasantly surprised I really enjoyed it. I was able to work with 2 women on my own, so I got that part done on my
internship. The girl I am with is also a graduate of W.I.T.S so she knows what I have to do. I spent 4 hours there. They are in an atmosphere where they can let me do more.
Next time she is going to have some fitness assessments for me to do and then I am going to learn how to make programs up for the clients. I really liked working with
the older people one of them was 101 years old! I think that I may continue volunteering even after I finish my internship. It may help me get a job later. They do have people there
that live independently in their own houses. I was thinking I could go into their house and do a home program for them. That was one of my original goals anyway.
Thank you so much and thank Bob for me too. I will be coming to see you in a couple of months maybe 3, I'm not sure how long it will take me to lose the FAT around my
middle, but I really want to. You have inspired me tremendously.
    Thanks,
    Doreen Smith

Sue is a great Personal Trainer. She knows her busness insde and out. She sincerely cares about each person she works with and will do whatever it takes to help you stay motivated and challenged. Even coming 2-3 times per week for several years, I find that we rarely do the same thing twice. She tailors my workout to suit my personal needs and goals. She provides nutritional guidance also. I value her input and I am in awe of her dedication. I highly reccomend her to anyone looking for a personal trainer at any level.

Is there a way to give a 100 stars, 5 are not enough. When your a client of Sue's your not just given a work out to follow or food suggestions then left on your own, she maintains constant contact with her clients checking in to see how your doing. She motivates you, supports, encourages you to stay on track. Your not on some fad diet, or crazy workouts, she gives you solid food and workout advice. Since working with her I have lost 10 lbs. If you follow the advice she gives you and are honest about what you eat, it is a no fail plan. She tailors your goals specific to you, it is not a one size all fits type plan. It is individualized based on your goals and needs. She is always available by email, text etc if you have questions or feeling like you want to cheat. There have been many days when I craved something and she talked me out of it. For the first time I am feeling like I will finally accomplish my goals.
