In 2001 I began my personal journey towards a healthier and happier lifestyle, losing close to 80 lbs by becoming active in group fitness training classes and embracing my inner passion for inspiring and motivating other people to "do" and "be" more. Over the years, I have had a variety of professional experiences that, together, have equipped me to provide my clients and business partners with fresh, innovative, yet easy to understand strategies for optimizing their competitive offer to established and non-active users of health and wellness services.
In the for-profit arena, this has mostly manifested as collaborations with operators and managers. Together, we have developed customized, comprehensive training to staff and customer service teams on how to articulate the unique attributes of their facilities in a way that reinforces the perceived value of club membership. Similarly, in the non-profit arena, my skills and passions have aligned closely with the mission of providing "everybody" with the knowledge, the methods, and the means to live a healthier life. By focusing on how to understand how communities are segmented, we have worked together to identify the real needs of consumers and refresh how program, services, and commodities are developed, promoted and pitched to generate consistent interest and membership/sales conversion. The internet and social media resources are making it easier for consumers to analyze and compare facilities and make purchasing decisions.
