I specialize in physique transformations, athletic performance, nutrition, and supplementation. I changed my physique years ago. It took a lot of discipline, determination, desire, and passion! It is this passion for life, health, anti-aging, and wellness that I want to share with you.
At the young age of 13 my interest in health and fitness began when I picked up my first exercise/bodybuilding magazine. In order to improve my strength and performance in the sports I played, I learned as much as I could about exercise and nutrition to give me that extra edge. During wrestling season I suffered an injury. The CAT scan showed the injury came a centimeter away from my kidney. Had I been one pound heavier it would have punctured my kidneys and I would have undergone surgery. I soon understood the importance of a proper nutrition and exercise program. I rehabilitated quickly from the injury and was back on the mat after several weeks due to my nutritional habits and supplementation. Fitness has since been a big part of my life.
I enlisted in the Marine Corps at 17 and went to boot camp after I graduated high school. My interest continued to grow as I learned more and more about exercise. I kept learning something new every day and started to teach others how to properly exercise and eat right. I began to share my knowledge with fellow Marines and soon started to transfer to my family and friends as they saw my progress.
I had a life changing experience during my time in Africa. While stationed at the US Embassy in N’Djamena, Chad, I entered the 1999 Body-for-LIFE Challenge. Out of 10,000 entries for Round 6 of the 4-week Sprint Men’s 18-25 Category I was picked as the Champion. People began to ask me questions after they saw the drastic changes to my physique in 12 weeks. I decided to train people and inspire others that have never worked out before to begin a structured program. I learned soon what my calling in life was.
I believe that exercising and eating healthy is not something done for appearance alone; it’s a lifestyle. Lifting weights and eating nutritious meals aren’t just for the bodybuilders or athletes anymore. It’s for everyday people like you and me. However, because of the tremendous raise in obesity, free radical damage (aging) and inactive lifestyles everyone is claiming to be a “personal trainer”. After becoming a certified fitness trainer, I have seen the impact my knowledge has had on others. Nothing makes me happier than hearing my clients tell me how I changed/improved their lives and made them dream again by conquering goals they set which they never thought they could achieve. I want to help revolutionize the fitness industry and transform the ideals for personal trainers to improve the care and service they provide to their clients with “long-term” health concerns.
