I'm a serious big game hunter. In 2010 I took a 12 day trip to the North West Territories to hunt Dall Sheep. Although I trained hard for the trip and at 45 was in the best shape I've been in since my early 20's I bonked about day 9.

In 2014, at 49 years old, I decided to hire Michael to help with my conditioning for an even more grueling 17 day trip to the Northern Rocky Mountains in Northern British Columbia. I was pursuing Stone Sheep which many consider the pinnacle of North America hunting. To make it more challenging I chose to hunt with a bow and arrow. If you’ve hiked the Sierra Nevada Mountains around Reno, think of the hiking the last mile to the top of Mount Rose and doing so off the trail the entire way; yes even over those big, nasty, dangerous rock slides. Now think of doing that while carrying a 40# pack and an 8# bow then multiply the miles to 5 to 15 per day, add in riding horses and doing it for 15 days straight while getting only 6 hours of sleep, or less, per night. On a daily basis we crossed side hills, rock slides and knife edge ridge tops that would literally kill you if you were to fall so balance, strength and stamina were mandatory. With Michael’s guidance via 20 training sessions I completed this hunt without tiring and was even able to walk out on the last day over the course of 9 hours without getting tired!!! In addition I lost nearly 15# prior to leaving and best of all my blood pressure dropped from 160/90 to 110/70. BTW – I was successful with two days left in the hunt…

Thanks Mike!!!

I consider myself very fortunate to have Michael as my trainer. I came to him "out of shape" and with constant pain from old injuries. He has been diligent strengthening the muscles around the injured area and stretching the muscles that had become very tight.

I'm now able to perform most of my activities and sleeping so much better. What a huge improvement in my quality of life. I'm so looking forward to our next phase of training and new goals. Most importantly, I believe I can get back to my old fit and strong self.
I'm so grateful!
Thank you Michael.

I did my first body building show on 8-23-14 at the tahoe show and Michael was there to help with my diet and posing. Although I did not hire him before this show he was kind and willing to give me great tips and look over my diet log. He showed me critical parts of the mandatory poses and was very professional!!! I am going to hire him this season so I can take my 4th place and make it a 1st!!! The show was an awesome and fun experience, I was really stoked to get a trophie, but I'm always wanting better than before. It's time to bulk up and get ready for next time, with Michael I can do this.

I started training with Michael after my doctors release from shoulder surgery ( Michael was recommended by the physical therapist ) he accomplished more in the 3 months we worked together 1 day a week with Michael 4 days on my own.
Michael has shown me the proper & safe way to use the equipment, free weight and no equipment workouts. He takes how ever much time is needed to make sure i understand have no discomfort and use the proper technique, and when I'm on my own he still seams to be watching making correction when he has a free minute. He works around all injures building the muscle groups to help support the damaged area. I look forwarded to getting back to town so we can continue.

Thanks Michael, Looking forward to winter !!

Michael really helps me to improve my workout. I lost weight and dropped 2 sizes in 6 months. I am glad to work with him, he is very patient to show me the right way to do the exercises. He motivates me to stay on track and to reach my goals.

I am a 59 year old man who has never really exercised on a routine basis until now.
I started meeting with Michael about 5 months ago for 1-2 times per week.
Today I am at the gym MOST mornings (5-6 days/week). Michael has shown me the value of properly building my strength and stamina. He has helped me make better choices in my diet. I have confidence in using the equipment and, through Michael's guidance, use the correct form so as not to injure myself and get the best results from each exercise.
Michael is attentive to every rep, every step.
I completely recommend him to anyone who wants to find their way to better health!

I have trained with Michael 1-2 times a week since the winter of '13. I didn't have any substantial weight loss due to some underlying health issues but Michael was always open to reading or discussing topics that I brought to him.

The workouts were always varied and challenging. I started training 6 months after having knee surgery and our sessions were an important part of my rehab. I always look forward to our sessions [5 am??].

Deciding to spend my money to train was a big decision and made easier knowing that it was on one of the most seasoned and knowledgeable training professionals in the area.

Thanks Michael. :)

He is very generous with his time and takes the time to explain and make sure you understand. He also has understands and can explain good nutrition. Workouts are varied and challenging.

Deciding to spend money on training was a huge splurge for me. I look forward to starting up again once I get my health squared away. :) I would definitely say that Michael is one of the most seasoned and knowledgeable training professionals around.

Michael Saiz has been instrumental in helping me reach and set new fitness goals.
Michael’s knowledge of training and physical therapy has been the perfect fit for my
needs.
I injured my shoulder in April 2013. I did physical therapy for several months and I have continued at my PT with rehab Pilates. I started working out with Michael’s guidance. in November 2013.
Immediately after my injury I could not lift my arm. By the time I started with Michael,
I still had some pain, but I wanted to increase my strength. My original intention was to learn how to use the machines & weights in the gym. With Michael’s approach I have gained so much more. Michael’s focus is not on just one body part, it’s all inclusive.
I am able to execute motions with ease that I was unable to perform six months ago.
I never thought I would be able to do 100 consecutive crunches. I am amazed that I have reached that goal and surpassed my expectations on my shoulder recovery. Feeling more fit and looking forward to continuing training with Michael.
