I am a fitness professional with a passion for introducing strength/resistance training to older adults. This can be very basic functional strength and balance exercises to more advanced plyometric or suspension training exercises. Bringing creative new routines to my clients is what I strive to do. I have a Personal Trainer certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. I also have a Bachelors in Fitness and Exercise Science and recently completed my Master's in Sports and Health Sciences.     Since working with Mary, I am stronger and fitter than I have ever been! She has supported me in pushing myself further than I ever thought possible - I have even completed a 5K run/walk!     Mary is exemplary at tailoring a fitness program that suits one's exercise preferences, body issues, fitness level, and stage of life. She makes fitness fun and provides guidance on proper form and injury prevention. She clearly enjoys researching and developing new exercises, particularly because she is very knowledgeable about the anatomy and physiology that underlie healthful, challenging fitness routines. I am in complete agreement with all the statements that earlier people have posted.

    I have been working with Mary as my personal trainer for almost 2 years. Mary has been an invaluable source of support while providing education and direction to improve my strength and increase my stamina. She always makes a point to ask if there are any issues of concern before a workout and she will tailor a workout to provide the most benefit and prevent any injury. Mary is always very encouraging. She has so much knowledge about exercise and the workings of the body and is always willing to share information to explain any questions/concerns. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Mary to improve my health and fitness.

    Mary is a blessing to many members of our community, all of whom stay very active, even as we age. She conducts a strength class once a week that I attend, and tailors each workout to the overall needs of that small group.     I started working with Mary about a year and a half ago. She set up a fitness program to help me reach my fitness goals. I feel great and have improved my fitness levels. I am much stronger and more flexible. Her workouts are varied. No two are ever the same. Working with Mary is one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
