I’m a big advocate of fitness education. Everybody is unique, and Every Body is different. What works for someone else may not work for you. It is important to try different things and learn how your body responds to different modalities of training. KEEP IT INTERESTING! I believe in an “old-school” approach to training. When it comes to health and fitness, there are no quick fixes. What works today may have diminishing benefits down the road. The bottom line is this: You get out what you put in, and anything worth having is worth working for. When I got certified, I vowed never to be just an average trainer! I will use everything at my disposal to make sure that your workouts are Rewarding, Efficient, Active, and Life-changing (REAL)! Anything less is simply unacceptable! less

This is an unsolicited recommendation for Marlan. Marlan is not the first trainer I have had but is by far the most qualified and beneficial. His unique style incorporates the ability to create a strong client relationship which leads to a comfort zone for personal development. Each session is individualized, balanced and strength centered with constant feedback. Marlan knows each muscle, how it coordinates with other muscles and most importantly how to develop a training program to improve the ones that will give greater balance and strength. Pre and post reviews of each session will access readiness and personal success. This assist in the design for the next session. Organized, on time, caring and focused are just a few of the strong character attributes I have appreciate. As a client I found Marlan totally focused on me and my improvement. His insight, and ability to explain, along with a compassion for the client, is of the highest standards for his profession. I seldom in my career have rated someone as a ten out of ten but Marlan is the exception. My only regret is I am only in his area for five months of the year.

I have known Marlan for a whiile now, but I haven't had the chance to know him as a trainer untill recently. I was very impressed with his professionalism: he was very straightforward and informative without being judgemental, and was very quick to discern what it was that I needed to be doing in order to push the extra mile during my workout. As a chiropractic therapist and emergency medical technician, I know a few things about posture and muscle groups, but Marlan saw what I could not and taught me lessons about running and lifting posture that have nothing but improved my performance in the gym. He has a genuine passion for what he does, and will give you an answer to any question you ask. I would strongly recommend Mr. Eller to anyone in need of a personal trainer , either beginner or experienced athlete.

Hi !
I have had the opportunity to work with Marlan for approximately 8 weeks now. Marlan combines professionalism and an extremely positive attitude to help support me in my fitness goals. Prior to meeting Marlan, I was nervous about having a personal trainer. I had convinced myself that a personal trainer was going to come in and judge me without taking time to get to know me. I can say with absolutely certainty that I was wrong, Marlan has been continually optimistic and nonjudgemental. The first time I met Marlan, I was able to see that he really believes in the services he is providing. He has a strong desire to help others throughout the fitness process, it is evident that Marlan "practices what he preaches."
Marlan comes overly prepared for our sessions, which is great! He has so many workouts planned that we can be flexible throughout our session. Marlan is extremely organized, I have a personalized binder he has made for me complete with workouts, health information, diet tracking sheets, and other fitness information. His organization skills have helped me to better follow my goals. Marlan promotes open and positive communication. Marlan always asks how the previous workouts have gone, he is genuinely looking for an answer. He always takes any feedback I provide into developing new workouts. Marlan takes time to explain each workout in detail, he does not rush and allows you to work at a pace in which you feel comfortable. He is knowledgeable in many fitness areas and proves so by always giving a rationale for an exercise. He uses words and concepts that a person without a fitness background can understand. He goes a step further by providing examples to help me better understand a workout or exercise. It is obvious that Marlan spends personal time creating workouts to cater to a client, he is very detail oriented. The workouts he has developed for me are appropriate, he watches the exercises carefully to monitor form, technique, and weight or resistance. I expressed to Marlan that variety was important for me to be successful in any type of fitness program, he worked hard to develop many different workouts.
In my opinion, Marlan goes a step above other personal trainers, he doesn't wish for the allotted time to pass more quickly. He truly wants to motivate clients into doing their personal best. Marlan works to develop a rapport with clients by asking about their week or building a conversation about common interests. After a family illness, I received a call from Marlan expressing his condolences, this is just the kind of relationship you can expect with Marlan as a trainer. He works to build a positive support systems for clients, allowing us to trust his professional judgement and making us more comfortable in our fitness routines. I would highly recommend and encourage others to seek Marlan as a personal trainer. Marlan is a great trainer and person to work with to help reach your fitness goals !
