As per our recent telephone conversation, I wanted to send you a quick note to thank both you and Stephanie for the work you did with my husband Peter.

As you both know, Peter was recovering from an extended hospitalization and was struggling to regain his strength and feeling of wellness. The “therapists” we were seeing at the outpatient facilities were treating Peter as a “patient.” We needed someone who would treat Peter as a PERSON.

When we first spoke about you coming out to work with Peter at our home, I explained all of the many layers of Peter’s recent and long term illness and also what we were expecting from you and your team. You listened attentively and you respected what we wanted and at that first meeting you let Peter know you were willing to work with him as long as he was willing to do his share.

After one of the sessions with Peter, I called and spoke to you about what I saw and heard with Stephanie (whom I think is FANTASTIC.) Peter was telling Stephanie that he was “tired” and didn’t want to work too hard and so Stephanie was taking it easy on him. When I spoke with you, I told you that Peter was very good at trying to not work too hard and that neither Stephanie nor you should let him get away with it! At the next session, Stephanie did not let him slack off.

It was important for our family to have you and Stephanie actively work with Peter to change his own mindset from that of he was “recovering with a therapist” to the mindset of he was “working out with a trainer.” The difference in those two phrases is immense and was strategic in helping Peter recover his confidence and strength.

I could see a change in Peter’s approach to his workout almost immediately. While it was hard and he was tired after each session, he seemed to enjoy the challenge as well as the interaction with Stephanie. The approach was critical.

The respect and, yes, love you showed Peter and our family is very special to us and will not be forgotten. The fact that the two of you showed up to visit Peter when he was in the hospital after working with him for such a short period of time showed our family the true value of the relationship and dedication you show to your “partners.” It was not just a business arrangement, but you were/are our friends.

Thank you so much for all you did for our family. I wish you ongoing success with your business and will be glad to serve as a reference for you and Stephanie anytime.

    Warmest regards,

    Kerri Woodford

Lori has been a rejuvenating blessing for seniors. I know, for I am one of a huge group of male and female residents in a retirement community who have crowded the activity center bi-weekly for the past 6 years to participate in Lori’s fitness class. Her skillful program addresses our special needs as she observes the actions of each and every individual. Her enthusiasm, wit and sensitivity amuse and charm us all as she awakens our joints and boosts our spirits. And we cheerfully depart from another enriching energy-building morning.

The Arthritis Foundation and the community we serve in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County has greatly benefited from Lori's fitness knowledge, passion, dedication, and great care for people looking to stay fit, no matter their level of ability. She's lead the Arthritis Foundation Walk Warm up in Santa Monica and has been a guest instructor speaker for a community lecture. We are delighted to have Lori generously volunteer her talent as a Certified Arthritis Foundation Instructor for people living with arthritis and can see how her business practice follows the same level of care, professionalism, and compassion. ~ Mireya Chaffee, Senior Program Director, Greater Los Angeles Office

Lori has provided me with an outstanding trainer, who comes to my home
three times weekly, with schedules entirely at my convenience. I am a
moderately disabled retiree who lives a mostly sedentary existence. The trainer Lori selected for me has designed exercises which have greatly
enhanced my strength and flexibility. Lori receives progress reports twice monthly and makes suggestions of other activities as deemed necessary.

She also has come to my home to check personally on my health and well-
being, and makes me feel, not as just another client, but as a friend. I have no hesitation in recommending her agency and services to anyone who would benefit from enhancing his or her strength and flexibility with
activities personally tailored to individual physical requirements and capabilities. I know I have experienced marked improvement.

I have the pleasure if knowing Lori, professionally, for spprox. 6 years. We first started to work together when she came to run a exercise group for the seniors at the assisted living facility I worked at as the activity director. She was and still is amazing. She has the ability to adapt the exercises to all different levels of capabilities and most importantly keep the group fun & moving. She recently did an in-service for the staff at the adult day center I work at. Teaching us new exercises & giving us a brief review of an aging body so we could identify some of the issues seniors may be facing while exercising. That in-service was one of the best we have had. Lori's cute personality came shining through & truly motivated us to provide a better exercise program. My colleagues & I always enjoy the opportunity to work with Lori & I sm sure you will as well. Thank you Lori! You really are the best at what you do! Adriana
