I am an ACE certified fitness trainer committed to enriching quality of life by providing inspiration, education, motivation & the design & implementation of safe & effective exercise programs for healthy & resolved adults. I believe that healthy food choices & simple physical activity, strength/resistance training especially, is the key to weight loss/maintenance, preventing osteoporosis, and living a long, healthy and happy life! My workouts include a unique blend of core, balance, sculpting & strengthening exercises, utilizing a combination of mat, body weight, bands, stability ball & hand held weights, to perform multi-joint compound exercises, enabling my clients to achieve maximum results in minimum time. Known for the design & implementation of adaptive exercise programs, I believe that everyone can exercise and make a positive difference in their life. Although the human spirit is invincible I do realize that our bodies are limited in varying degrees, and believe that through exercise we all have the ability to improve our health and fitness level, and thereby quality of life, by doing what we can with what we have. All of my programs are non-impact & modification friendly, offering a gentle on the joints comprehensive workout for all levels. I offer my personal & small group fitness programs on-site in private residences, recreation & senior centers, offices, schools & fitness facilities.     I have been attending the Strength & Balance class at Auburn Senior Center for about two and half years. Lin is a wonderful instructor who encourages everyone no matter their age or ability. She has a warm personality and is very well liked by everyone. She frequently adds new excercises so that not every class is identical and explains what muscles we’re using and how we’ll benefit from that particular exercise. Lin gives tips on nutrition along with the exercise and is nonjudgmental which makes for a relaxed feeling among participants. I’m one of the younger seniors in the class and have found Lin’s class to have helped me gain strength and flexibility, and I’ve noticed gains made by many of the older participants as well. Lin is a gem!

    Strength & Balance program at the Auburn Senior Center is quite a success due to efforts of Lin Hultgren! I attend this class and can tell you that this class is the hidden gem of exercise classes at the senior center. Many of the participants have recommended class to their friends or family members. Exercise can be intimidating, exhausting and frustrating for those of us who do not have athletic ability or are new to exercise. Lin's personality and level of knowledge have resulted in a fun, safe and successful exercise experience. Lin makes all participants feel welcome,encouraged and you end up feeling stronger without the negative attitude that sometimes accompanies exercise. Lin freely shares her knowledge about exercise and healthy lifestyle without being judgemental or intimidating.

    Lin Hultgren has been teaching her Strength & Balance Program to older adults at the Auburn Senior Center since June 2015. Her class is well loved by the participants and and has grown exponentially since it began. It is our largest weekly exercise class. Lin's warm nature and exercise expertise has been a great addition to our center.     "Lin is a complete motivator! I am almost 50 and never exercised in my life, however, it is time for me to get off my butt and Lin with her amazing body and attitude gave me the motivation to try to get into shape. And as we speak 4 weeks in, I say I have my butt has lifted and firmed and again I find myself strutting my stuff lol...."

    "I have been privileged to be an active participant in classes that Lin has led for women at a local gym for several years. Her instructions always include beginner, intermediate and advanced. She also recognizes individual limitations due to self-identified personal preferences, and offers recommendations for safe, alternative movements. Her motto of "do what you can" allows each to strive for personal best. She also gently reminds some of the more seasoned members correct form when she observes deviation. Her attitude is always encouraging and her music strives for related tempo and beat according to he movements. She sends encouraging e-mails related to fitness. Lastly, and most importantly, results are evident from attending Lin's classes."
