I completed my Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Tennessee. After graduating, I was unsure about what career path to take. I decided to take some time off, before diving into the Social Work world, to focus on all areas of health in my life and seek out new passions. I began studying fitness and nutrition to begin my journey to health. I had struggled with being overweight since a young age. I had attended a wonderful school for both middle and high school that was known for excelling in athletics, but insecurities and fear kept me from pursuing many sports or fitness activities. I was convinced that I “just wasn’t athletic”. I finally decided that only fear was holding me back and I wanted to overcome it. It was one of the best decisions of my life. I lost about 35 pounds since then and I have a growing passion about all areas of health. I continue to set goals for myself and I actually enjoy the journey to reach them, even though it is rarely an easy one. I believe in the importance of losing weight and gaining strength in natural and healthy ways. Start with small goals and stick to them, rather than wishing for change over night. I am certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer. I also have NASM specializations in both MMA Conditioning & Fitness Nutrition. I provide an environment with encouragement, support, and a whole lot of fun while helping you get healthy!
