Katie Barnes is celebrity trainer and international fitness expert best known for her transformational work with Gwen Stefani from 2007 onward, training the rock star, fashion icon and judge on tv show "The Voice" throughout her second pregnancy and beyond. Her “post-baby” body results made front-page news, showing what is possible for women after 40…women who also happen to be in the busiest and most successful times of their lives.

In a career spanning 25 years in fitness, Pilates and professional classical ballet, Katie has a unique connection with her clients that stems from her own path to personal wellness. By swapping dance for regular fitness and proper nutrition, Katie found that exercise and the science behind it gave her new purpose and excitement about life’s potential, after defying the odds and bouncing back from struggling with anorexia as a ballerina in her late teens.

Since 1991, Katie has held international certifications in Personal Training, Group Exercise, and Les Mills’ Body Pump. She is a Master Pilates instructor and holds certifications from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), Physical Mind Institute (PMI), Body Arts and Sciences (BASI), Les Mills’ International: Body Pump Instructor Program, American Red Cross and is an active member of the largest fitness organization in the world, IDEA. Katie has taught in Britain, Australia and New Zealand with a wide range of clients Gavin Rossdale, Matchbox 20, The Avett Brothers, Jamie Cullum, Sophie Dahl and Emily Barclay, among others.

    Katie is fantastic! She's smart, dedicated and fun. She has an amazing facility to work with people of all abilities and to tailor instruction to your needs and goals. You can't do better than Katie.

    Katie is an amazing instructor. First of all, she is a total pro, highly trained, experienced and educated, so that she really understands body mechanics. She is completely focused and observant to make sure that your form is correct and to avoid injury. In addition, she makes the workout fun, by changing up the routines and keeping you moving. She plays wonderful music and is good company also. She can help you with exercise and nutrition. I love taking her Pilates classes and know that she is watching every movement, every moment. I would recommend her to anyone, at any fitness level. Also, she is very organized, always on time, and provides a lovely room in which to work out. The best!!!!

    Katie has been the best fitness instructor I've ever had. . . and as an actor, I've had a lot. She has helped me re-shape my body and keep it that way so that I can continue to work in this industry. Her knowledge of the body and experience in training is vast and has always made working out more fun and interesting. I never know what I'm going to be in for!! From cardio and weight training, to Pilates, she's always been able to keep me motivated and involved. I SERIOUSLY love being one of her clients and recommend her highly to anyone that has a fitness goal regardless of what it is. This girl knows muscles, food and the cardio-vascular system!! She's also extremely knowledgeable and conservative with injuries. AND she'll really listen to you... promise! What else would you want??

    Katie has many years of experience in the fitness world and this is obvious through her sessions, she has a very detailed knowledge of body mechanics, nutrition and fitness. I always enjoy my sessions with Katie as she always introduces new movements each session, cues my body into alignment to ensure I am getting maximum results, and takes a genuine interest in my progress and what results I am trying to achieve. Katie's wide range of experience in group fitness, dance, pilates, weight and resistance workouts allows her to design a variety of workouts which beats boredom and your body won't get used to the same moves. She is also always on time, efficient and a warm and friendly person. I highly recommend Katie as personal trainer who can adapt to anyone's needs, no matter what stage of life or age.

    I must say I've been to many many fitness classes in my life. I can tell when an instructor is knowledgeable in her trade. Katie is an amazing top notch instructor! Her classes vary greatly and she's always changing it up, but still caters to every body part. Most importantly for me, I've had major lower back problems for many years. I've seen many doctors, therapists, trainers, etc. It's only recently since I've been consistently attending Katie's classes, that I've realized how much stronger my back and core have become. She is extremely dedicated to her craft, and it is evident in the results. It's very refreshing to experience such a great talent in LA. Thank you Katie!!!
