I have been working out with Kathy for a little over a year and we've built a great relationship! She is extremely patient with you, but still finds a way to push and encourage you. Before started to train with Kathy, I swam and worked out on my own for years. But I have developed a different level of strength over this past year. We began working out to help get in better shape for my wedding, as a "bridal boot camp". Then after my wedding, I continued to train because I enjoyed my new strength and wanted to keep it up. She continues to introduces new ways for us to train at every session and I always leave our sessions sore, but in a good way. Kathy is also reasonably priced for personal trainer who makes each session unique to your own strengths and abilities.
I have been taking piloga with Kathy for over 10 years and can't imagine giving it up! It is the perfect class combining flexibilty & strength training, along with balance work. This training has kept me more physically fit for a lot of other activites I enjoy like hiking, swimming & gardening. If you only have time for one class this should definitely be the one!
I started working with Kathy in April, 2011, while I was trying to overcome the effects of 2 major surgeries on my body. I had a lot of physical issues to deal with and was frustrated with how weak I had become. Prior to my illness, I was primarily a runner focused on marathons, not necessarily overall fitness! Now unable to run, I turned to Kathy to help me gain strength and fitness. Quite frankly, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had joined the Club at Westside and Kathy was assigned to do an initial training session. After that session, I knew I had to have her as a personal trainer! She has a warm and uplifting personality and I instantly felt comfortable with her. Her focus on core strength and working on overall body agility has me in the best shape of my life. I also have become a devoted attendee at her Piloga , Core, and Boot Camp classes. Oh, and she also helped me get back into running shape! I'm now training for a 50k trail run. One of the best results, is that I continue to be injury free, even with my increased running schedule. She pushes me, but is always mindful of correct form and safety protocol. She is also a tremendous inspiration because of her awesome strength and fitness. I love her!
