Karen was my personal trainer for nearly two years at Total Woman Gym. Almost immediately after starting with Karen, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and my training concerns and needs changed, in what seemed like, a period of a few days. Karen's passion for fitness and her knowledge of physiology and anatomy is evident the moment you meet her. What was not evident until my needs changed, was her skill at creating an exercise and fitness plan to fit my specific needs. She tailored a workout for me that included significant balance work in addition to strength training and interval training. Aside from her truly caring and wonderful personality, if you're interested in learning the physiology of the exercise you're doing, the name of the sore muscle/muscle group you just worked, or simply why "if you do this, you'll get that", etc., she's more than willing to share her knowledge with you. She cares for her clients and is interested in helping them reach their goals. I was always so touched when she'd share with me an article or a recent study she came across in her readings and continued studies that pertained to the issues I was dealing with. Truly, above and beyond. When you work with Karen, you can expect, and will recieve, a very professional, conscientious, attentive and knowledgeable trainer. I highly recommend her.

Karen was my personal trainer at Total Woman Gym. She is THE BEST! I'd worked with other trainers who were good. What made Karen stand out was her professional approach to my training sessions. She knew what trouble spots I had and tailored my workouts so those places weren't aggravated. She also created workouts for me that would strengthen those weak areas so I didn't get a free pass. The workouts were always challenging with built in adjustments so I could get past any plateaus that appeared. She listened carefully to my concerns. Her instructions were clear so that I knew how to perform my workouts using good form. Her handouts were particularly informative and helpful in explaining aspects of living a healthy lifestyle. Not only a fun person to help me with my goals, she is the CONSUMMATE PROFESSIONAL!

Karen has been my personal trainer for almost 6 years. I was approaching 40 and was new to the strength training when I first started training with Karen. Since then Karen has educated me on how different muscles/muscle groups work, the importance of stretching after each workout and value of proper nutrition. My weekly training sessions are always personally developed for me with a strong focus on my physical condition, any areas of concern and workouts for specific body parts or muscle group. Karen has trained me on the proper use of a variety of exercise equipment, including hand held weights, resistance equipment and even the TRX , all of which I use during my training sessions with her. She puts strong emphasis on my proper form of each movement, ensuring that my correct muscle group is fully engaged for maximum benefit. She also ensures that I am well prepared to work out on my own during the week either in the gym or at home by providing me with a descriptive list of specific exercises which cover each muscle group.
Karen is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of training, body mechanics, nutrition and overall well being. Karen motives and inspires me. Her passion truly shines through every time I work out with her.

Karen Schlieter has been my personal trainer for six years. I was 54 at the time, 20 pounds overweight, had high cholesterol and also a slight balance/equilibrium problem. Taking into consideration my goals, she has proven to be an extraordinary personal training coach with a program that evolves based on my progress. Training with Karen has been extremely valuable in achieving greater health and longevity. She educates and motivates every step of the way to ensure I understand muscle groups while encouraging me to exercise regularly and eat healthy foods to be fit and trim. This year I turned 60 and am over 20 pounds lighter, have lowered my cholesterol significantly and improved my balance! I owe this to Karen Schlieter and thank her for her expertise, her warmth and her devotion to improving the health and longevity of those she trains.

There is no one more capable than Karen when it comes to personal training. She is extremely knowledgeable, highly qualified, and professional. Her credentials inspire confidence, and she shows a genuine commitment to helping me achieve my fitness goals. Karen teaches as she trains, and I have been able to replicate my training regiment at home. It is with much enthusiasm that I recommend Karen as a personal trainer.
