I am a NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp instructor, ACE certified personal fitness trainer, and certified Sports Nutritionist. I hold a B.E. in Health Promotion with a Minor in Business from Auburn University. Since graduating, I have worked as a recreation specialist for the U.S. Army, as a personal trainer at Huntsville Hospital, and a private trainer in clients' homes. As a writer, he writes the MWR Sports and Fitness Newsletter and contributes to the Huntsville Times as a fitness writer.
I had been a lifelong athlete, until one day I woke up and realized I was 50 pounds overweight, depressed, and injured. It was a turning point in my life when I got fed up and realized there had to be a better way. From that day on I have dedicated my life to studying health and fitness and using it to help others achieve their goals. I have used this passion to train everyone from high school athletes trying to get scholarships, to women who want to feel better about their bodies after childbirth.
I also have a passion for helping kids. I coached football at Challenger Middle School for seven years, have taught youth weight training classes since 2002, and have led a youth group at Latham United Methodist Church. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and young son Brendan, exercising, and playing sports.
