How to deal with disrespectful clients?

I too agree with chatting with the parents, but also think you may not get the result you're looking for, as they may be contributing to the problem. I'm also not sure that making the child your "assistant" is the right way to go either. Not only would you be rewarding the behavior, but what messa...

I use a few baseline assessments for everyone. Then depending on their goal and information from their health history, I determine what other assessments to include. Depending on the reason for their classification as a special population, it will also determine where the intensity is set for the ...

If I get confused, the general population must be confused?

I agree with Harris and have often been asked the same question. When it comes up I always demonstrate the correct form with the client or have posted a video describing the correct form for clients who want to participate and post it on my facebook page. I also add in modifications if the person ...

For me it depends on the client, their goal and the goal of that particular session. I've trained clients using all the same reps and sets. I've also used different sets and reps for different muscle groups depending on their assessment and goal. Sometimes it also depends on the modality we're us...

Workout With or Without music?

Depends on the class. Most of the time I workout personally without music. For group classes, I almost always have music. For individual and group clients, it depends on the client and what we're doing.

what are some behavioural strategies for client whose goal is fat loss

6 Answers | Asked by KC on Nov 14, 2013
